Today was a gentle reminder that even Reiki practitioners need to pause and listen to their bodies too. 💜✨
When I woke up this morning, I somewhat knew I wasn’t feeling my best, but like many women, caregivers, and healers, I thought I could push through the day.
I still came in for my first client, hoping I would start feeling better. We sat together and chatted for a little while, but I could tell my body was not improving, especially after having my protein shake and realizing I still felt off. In that moment, I knew I needed to truly listen inward.
With so much grace and understanding, my client and I decided it was best to reschedule and go our separate ways for the day. I’m incredibly grateful for her kindness and compassion.
After that, I reached out to my remaining clients to reschedule, and thankfully they were all so understanding and supportive.
Sometimes the most healing thing we can do is stop trying to “push through” and instead honor what our body is asking for. Your body whispers before it screams, honor it. 🌿
Today, I chose rest, hydration, and grace.
