Provider Spotlight! David Robison, PsyD

“I am a licensed psychologist who works with adults experiencing emotional overwhelm, relational strain, or long-standing patterns that no longer feel workable. Many of the clients I see are balancing significant responsibilities and feel unsure how to remain present in their lives without losing themselves in the process.

My work is collaborative and thoughtful, with an emphasis on emotional containment, clarity, and sustainable change. I aim to provide a steady, non-judgmental space where clients can slow down, reflect, and better understand both their inner experience and the broader systems shaping their lives.”

New Blog Post! Parenting Through Stress Without Losing Yourself

Many parents spend so much time caring for their children, managing responsibilities, and trying to create a supportive environment that they forget an important part of the equation: themselves. The pressure to be a “good parent” can sometimes create unrealistic expectations. Parents may feel like they should always be patient, always know what to do, and always have enough energy to handle whatever comes their way.

At BrightSpire Health, we believe supporting yourself is not separate from being a good parent—it is part of it.

New Blog Post! The Mental Load: Why You’re Exhausted Even When You’re Not Busy

Have you ever felt mentally exhausted even when your schedule doesn’t seem overwhelming? Maybe your day isn’t packed, but your mind is constantly running through responsibilities, decisions, reminders, and things that need your attention. This experience is often called the mental load.

The mental load is the invisible work of managing, organizing, and anticipating everything that keeps life moving. While it is often discussed in the context of family responsibilities, anyone can experience the emotional exhaustion that comes from carrying too much mentally.

At BrightSpire Health, we help clients understand how stress, responsibility, and expectations impact their emotional well-being.

Provider Spotlight! Mikie Moore, LPC

“Mikie believes that every client already carries the inner resources and strengths needed to overcome their challenges. She also understands that barriers such as low self-worth, unhelpful thought patterns, trauma stored in the body, and deeply rooted internal programming can make it difficult to access those strengths. Mikie’s work focuses on helping clients break through these barriers so they can move forward, create meaningful change, and build a more stable and fulfilling life.

Mikie has experience and is very much passionate about supporting individuals navigating complex trauma, domestic violence, birth trauma, and attachment trauma. She specializes in a somatic modality called Lifespan Integration, which helps the nervous system release stored trauma and integrate new patterns of safety. In addition, she draws from CBT, DBT, Strengths-based practices, and Solution-Focused approaches to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs.”
