🪑 **FIGHT THE FALL CHALLENGE!** 🪑
Did you know that something as simple as standing up from a chair can tell us a lot about your strength and fall risk?
The 30-Second Sit-to-Stand Test is a quick screening tool used to assess lower-body strength and help identify individuals who may be at increased risk for falls.
Getting up from a chair is an everyday movement—but it’s also one of the most common situations where people can lose their balance. 💺➡️🚶
👇 Check out the CDC norms below based on your age and gender. If your results fall below the expected range, it may be worth having a physical therapist take a closer look at your strength, balance, and mobility.
At FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Center, we specialize in balance and fall prevention therapy and can help determine what may be contributing to your fall risk and create an individualized plan to improve your confidence and safety.
🗣️ Not sure if physical therapy is right for you? We offer FREE Question & Answer visits where you can meet with one of our therapists and learn more.
Check below ⬇️ at the comments, showing how a quick sit to stand test is done with the short video of Sam.
