And here’s the answer... yes. Comfort nursing is real, it’s normal, and it will not “spoil” your baby. Feeding at the breast is not just about food, it’s temperature regulation, oxytocin, familiarity, your heartbeat… Your baby is allowed to want that, and you’re allowed to give it without guilt.

Some days they’ll want to eat more often, some days less. Hunger cues are your baby’s way of communicating a need, and responding to those cues helps support milk supply, growth, and a trusting feeding relationship.
