Why do I need a GFE-aka: a Good Faith Exam? 🤍

If you’ve scheduled a medical aesthetic or wellness treatment in Texas, you may hear us say, “We need to complete your GFE first.”

So…what exactly is that?

A GFE (Good Faith Exam) is a medical evaluation performed before certain medical treatments. It allows a qualified medical provider to:

✨ Review your medical history
✨ Discuss medications, allergies & health conditions
✨ Make sure your treatment is appropriate and safe for you
✨ Establish your individualized treatment plan
✨ Clear you for the medical services you’ll be receiving

In Texas, many services offered in a med spa — including injectable and other nonsurgical medical treatments — are considered medical procedures, not simply cosmetic services.

That means your GFE isn’t just another box to check.

It’s part of practicing medicine safely, responsibly, and in accordance with Texas requirements.
