📌 SAVE THIS if your milk is slow to let down — or if you’re staring at your pump willing something to happen.
Slow letdown is one of the most common breastfeeding frustrations, and one of the most misunderstood. It doesn’t mean your supply is low. It doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It usually means your nervous system needs a little help getting there.
Oxytocin — the hormone that triggers letdown — is incredibly sensitive to stress, tension, and anxiety. Which, hi, you’re a new mom. Of course your nervous system is activated.
The good news? There’s a lot you can do. Swipe through for evidence-based and holistic interventions that actually work — from breathwork and breast massage to acupuncture, CST, CFT, and Reiki.
You are not broken. Your body is not failing you. Sometimes it just needs the right conditions to do what it already knows how to do. 💛
If you’re struggling with letdown or slow flow, reach out — this is exactly what I’m here for.
