What's one of the biggest misconceptions about Mobile Integrated Health?

MIH isn't simply about avoiding a trip to the emergency department. It's about evaluating each patient's needs and helping connect them with the most appropriate care, in the most appropriate setting.

Brenden Hayden tackles a common misconception about MIH in this week's MIH Minute—and explains what this model of care is really designed to do.

Healthcare is increasingly moving beyond the four walls of the hospital.

Why? Because bringing the right care into the community can help healthcare systems reach patients earlier, use resources more effectively, and provide care in a setting that may better meet the patient's needs.

In this MIH Minute, Brenden Hayden discusses why hospitals are investing in community-based care—and the role Mobile Integrated Health can play in that shift.

How can Mobile Integrated Health help hospitals extend care beyond their walls?

By bringing appropriate care directly to patients in the community, MIH can help support better care transitions, reduce avoidable hospital utilization, and give healthcare partners another resource for meeting patients where they are.

In this MIH Minute, Brenden Hayden explains how MIH works alongside hospitals and health systems to help create a more connected approach to care.

What happens when patients can get the right care sooner — without always having to go to the emergency room?

Mobile Integrated Healthcare brings care directly to patients, creating an environment where they may feel more comfortable reaching out earlier, before a health concern becomes more serious.

With clinicians focused on one patient at a time, MIH can provide more personalized attention, reduce risks associated with unnecessary hospital visits, and help patients — particularly older adults — remain safely and comfortably at home whenever appropriate.

Earlier intervention. More personalized care. Better outcomes.

In this MIH Minute, learn how Mobile Integrated Healthcare is changing where and how patients receive care.

This week, clinicians from Estella Health underwent advanced ultrasound training aimed at expanding our in-home diagnostic capabilities. The training focused on lung, cardiac, and deep vein evaluations, building on Estella’s already successful ultrasound program.

Delivering high-quality care in the home requires specialized training, advanced equipment, and exceptional clinicians. Continued education like this strengthens our team’s capabilities as providers, giving them more tools to assess patients, make informed clinical decisions, and deliver the right care in the right place.

By continuing to expand what’s possible in the home, we can help more patients receive the care they need where they are — and, when appropriate, avoid an unnecessary trip to the emergency department.
