For Maria, something as simple as feeding herself became a meaningful milestone.

Through the dedication and creativity of Amanda Bolgar, OT and Rehab Director at Meadow Falls of North Royalton, Maria worked toward greater independence using adaptive equipment tailored to her needs.

After working with Amanda, Maria was able to feed herself independently for the first time since moving into assisted living. 🙌

It’s moments like these that remind us why therapy matters. Occupational therapy isn’t just about completing a task, it’s about helping people regain confidence, independence, and the ability to participate in the everyday moments that matter most.

Progress looks even better together! 💙

Our incredible COTA and PTA recently joined this wonderful married couple at River Park for a therapy session, and we couldn’t be prouder of the work they’re putting in!

Since moving into the community, this couple has been working hard alongside their OT and PT to improve their balance, strength, safety, and overall quality of life. From building confidence with movement to enjoying time together in the community, every step forward is worth celebrating. 💪✨

We’re so proud of their dedication and grateful to be part of their journey toward greater independence, confidence, and quality of life. ❤️

We’re excited to celebrate the grand opening of Meadow Falls of Middletown in Middletown, Ohio! 🏡✨

A Story Worth Sharing 🤍

At 91 years old, Bob Blackmer had an idea: write another book. And thanks to the incredible partnership between Bob and his occupational therapist, Meghan Stiffler, OTR/L, RD, at Charter Senior Living of Franklin, that idea became a reality. 📖✨

Bob has spent much of his life writing and publishing stories. Although he is currently facing communication and functional challenges, his creativity and sharp mind remain as strong as ever. When Bob shared his idea for a new story, Meghan immediately said, “Well, let’s do it!”

Together, they brought his story to life. Bob told the story in his own words while Meghan scribed it from beginning to end. They created the cover, published the book through Bob’s Amazon account, and then took it one step further, a book signing event in Bob’s honor! 🎉

Family, friends, fellow residents, team members and members of the local community came together to celebrate Bob and his accomplishment. His story even caught the attention of the Williamson Herald, where Bob was interviewed and proudly shared his journey.

Seeing Bob hold his published book and celebrate his accomplishment was a powerful reminder of what meaningful occupational therapy can make possible. 💙

This wasn’t just about writing a book, it was about purpose, independence, creativity and helping someone continue doing what they love.

We are so proud of Meghan and Bob for showing us that it’s never too late to tell another story. 🤍📚

💙 A Legacy Success Story: Richard’s Journey to Greater Independence

When Richard arrived at Skybrook after a serious accident left him unable to walk, he knew he had a long road ahead. After initially using a wheelchair, Richard began his rehabilitation journey with PT and OT, and quickly started making progress.

Within just one week, he went from using a walker to using a cane. After being introduced to Olivia, an OT with Legacy Healthcare Services, Richard continued his journey with Legacy’s PT/OT program for 12 weeks, working alongside Sara, Olivia, Kathi and Sophia.

Through their dedication, encouragement and expertise, Richard achieved tremendous progress toward greater independence with his activities of daily living.

“I have achieved a great deal of progress. They are a dedicated team which I would highly recommend to anyone who needs rehab services. I will be forever grateful to each one of them for the progress I have made.”

Richard’s story is a wonderful reminder of what can happen when determination meets compassionate care. 💙

🎉 15 Years of Partnership at Summit Glen Gracious Retirement! 💙

On August 14, our Legacy team had the joy of celebrating a very special milestone with our friends at Summit Glen Gracious Retirement, 15 wonderful years of partnership! 🥳

To celebrate, we threw the residents a 15th Birthday Party filled with fun, fellowship, and plenty of memories. Nearly 50 residents joined us for the celebration, and we were especially honored to hear residents share their personal testimonies and positive experiences with Legacy over the years. ❤️

We are incredibly grateful for 15 years of partnership, trust, and the opportunity to provide compassionate therapy to the residents of Summit Glen. Here’s to many more years of making a difference together! 🎂🎈
