Eritrea is taking its place on the Miss World stage for the first time. Snit Habteab will make history as the East African nation’s inaugural representative, marking another milestone for a country that gained independence from Ethiopia in 1993.

Habteab also became Eritrea’s first Miss Universe contestant in 2024, signaling the country’s growing visibility on the global pageant stage.

Born and raised in Asmara, Habteab is a neuroscientist, Montessori educator and disability-rights advocate. Her ‘Beauty With a Purpose’ project, ‘Designing for Diversity,’ supports children with special needs and their families. She will represent Eritrea in Vietnam from August 9 through September 5.

Kimberly Jael Aremo is becoming one of the standout contestants at Miss Universe Uganda 2026, with her natural beauty, confidence and graceful runway presence.

The 19-year-old contestant from Kole District is more than a beauty queen.

Kimberly uses her platform to champion intentional mentorship for young people, especially girls, drawing inspiration from her own experience of overcoming childhood bullying.
