***Medical Education post, using simulated blood and lower legs manikin***
⚠️Should we teach civilians or professional responders how to work together when it comes to stopping the bleed? Saving lives is definitely a team sport and if we can predict that people will work together in order to save a life then we should be making sure we also teach them how to work together. This is from one of our classes were the students only had a short introduction to the stop the bleed curriculum and then went onto a long scenario that involved multiple survival situations and involved a bleeding control situation at the end. They did a great job for their first time. Do you think we should focus on teaching people how to work together when it comes to saving lives?

***Educational post for stop the bleed initiative using simulated wearable wounds*** ⚠️Question for our first responders and our civilians who want to be the difference. Do you think we should teach civilians in a stop the bleed class how to do casualty extraction? Most courses and classes only teach the medical aspect of treating the 4 preventable death injuries from trauma however there is an operational reality of delay for first responders to make entry or extract casualties. So if our overall goal is to get them to the hospital into surgery, does it make sense that we should be teaching civilians to be part of that extraction and get them out faster or should they just wait for the professionals to do it? Ranger vs Stronghold TraumaPAKs. We get asked a lot about the difference between these two TraumaPAKs. These are both about 30% bigger than your traditional IFAKs so it’s ideal if you want to carry a few more items in case you need to treat a more injuries. Let’s save lives together💪

***Educational post using a medical simulation manikin***. Applying a tourniquet should be muscle memory but when it comes to the arm verse the legs, do you think we should Lasso the tourniquet for both arms and legs (as in keep the tourniquet closed) or should we open it and feed it under the leg.
