BREAKING NEWS: CPSC Recalls Sand-Filled Children’s Toys After Asbestos Contamination Discovery
Breaking News! The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of more than 121,000 Orb Funkee squeeze toys after testing identified tremolite asbestos in the sand filling inside the products.

Earlier this year, ADAO sent letters to the CPSC and EPA urging federal regulators to investigate children’s products containing sand or mineral fillers after similar recalls in Australia and the United Kingdom identified asbestos contamination in comparable products.

ADAO continues to call for broader review and testing of sand-based consumer products to help prevent asbestos exposure and protect public health.

ADAO heads to the same court that overturned the 1989 ban on June 1st. Every voice still matters today.
