Lighthouse Rehab was pleased to welcome Beacon Hospice Liaison Damian Legacy, his service dog Odin, and Andrew, Vice President at Beacon Hospice, for a tour of our center.

Their visit included time with our Resident Activities Club and a look inside the rehab gym with Director of Rehabilitation, Adena Flax. Thank you to the Beacon Hospice team for spending time with our community!

When Jon needed short-term rehabilitation for the second time this year, Lighthouse Rehab was his number one choice.

A lover of music and the arts, Jon brought his energy to each day, often filling the halls with karaoke as he worked with our physical and occupational therapy teams to rebuild his strength.

With support from our rehab and nursing teams, Jon progressed from needing significant assistance with daily activities to completing them independently. By discharge, he was enjoying full meals again and moving with a walker or cane as needed.

On his way home, Jon stopped for a photo with one of his favorite CNAs, Aya, and shared, “Thanks to the care and support of your whole team, I am already better. Going home is just a bonus.”

Congratulations, Jon. We wish you good health and plenty of music in the days ahead!

What began as a few simple conversations became a meaningful first: a limousine ride into Boston to attend the final showing of “Spring Experience.”

For residents who fondly remembered dancing and girls-day-out adventures from years past, the excursion was both a trip down memory lane and an opportunity to experience the ballet in person.

“It was honestly beautiful, the whole experience,” shared Seana Hall, Vice President of Life Enrichment.

Dressed in their Sunday best, the group turned heads, made memories and brought joy to every step of the journey.

They may not have been the stars of the ballet, but they certainly stole the show.💙
