The 2026 American Medical Association (AMA) House of Delegates (HoD) meeting was held in Chicago from June 5-9, with RPA being represented by delegates Drs. Rebecca Schmidt and Kareen Simpson, along with Director of Public Policy Rob Bl**er.
At the HoD meeting, resolution shaping AMA policy are first debated at reference committee meetings before being considered by the full HoD. Among the resolutions being tracked by the RPA delegation are items on ensuring physician input on development of CMMI payment models, repeal of the Merit-Based Incentive Program (MIPS), physician unity on advocacy in physician reimbursement, and Medicare Administrative Contractor policy modification.
RPA will keep membership apprised of all noteworthy developments at the AMA HoD meeting.
