Tonight’s leading lady: fregola. ✨
This toasted pasta from Sardinia is often mistaken for couscous, but its nutty flavor and chewy bite make it something entirely its own. I make mine with chicken stock to boost the flavor, then fold in sautéed garlic, shallots, and an herb - oregano tonight! 🪴
Paired with chicken sausage, broccoli rabe, and a glass of Vermentino (because commitment to the theme matters), it’s proof that weeknight dinners can be healthy *and* don’t have to be boring. 🇮🇹

This salad is having a full-on star turn. ✨🥗🍊
Crisp fennel, bitter radicchio, juicy orange and grapefruit, and a bright lemony dijonnaisse dressing that hits every possible note on my palate.
Sweet, sharp, crunchy, fresh, vibrant — basically the edible version of opening the windows on the first perfect summer day.
I think it’s perfect with literally any protein… but also fabulous enough to steal the whole show herself. ☀️

A tale of two potato salads. 🥔✨
One is the backyard BBQ classic: mayonnaise, celery, spring onion, bacon, and just enough vinegar, sugar, salt & pepper to make you keep going back for “one more bite.”
The other is also a classic… just in a land called France. 🇫🇷 Whole grain + Dijon mustard, red wine vinegar, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and very good olive oil doing the absolute most.
Both topped with the prettiest purple chive flowers from the goshen_farmersmarket, because even side dishes deserve main character energy. 🥔💜

Grilling Girl Season is officially ON.🔥
These Citarella pork chops got the overnight treatment in Victoria Gourmet brine before hitting the grill, alongside lemony broccolini steamed in foil packets and crispy smashed baby potatoes with parmesan, parsley, and enough lemon zest to taste like summer on a plate.
I wait all winter for this exact moment: cooking outside, eating outside, and somehow making Monday night feel like weekend!

The 🌡️ hit 87° again and suddenly summer is truly on the horizon… so my first thought was: clambake! ☀️🦪
These are little neck clams from Citarella, sautéed in white wine with garlic and leeks, served with crusty olive bread for soaking up every last bit of that beautiful broth. The clams, bread, and a fresh salad are the perfect light summer dinner I’ll be repeating.
