Core Responsibilities & Basic Tasks
• Patient Care & Preparation: Greet patients, assist with intake, educate them on hyperbaric safety protocols, and ensure they are comfortable prior to treatment.
• Chamber Operations: Monitor and safely operate hyperbaric chambers under supervisory guidance, carefully tracking treatment times, pressures, and oxygen flow rates.
• Vital Signs & Monitoring: Record pre- and post-treatment vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, pulse oximetry) and observe patients throughout therapy sessions for any signs of discomfort or distress.
• Documentation: Accurately log patient progress, treatment metrics, and chamber maintenance records in the electronic health records (EHR) system.
• Sanitation & Safety: Strictly adhere to safety protocols, perform chamber pressurization checks, and maintain a sterile, spotless environment by thoroughly sanitizing equipment between uses.
Standard Skills Required
• High school diploma or equivalent (CNA, EMT, or other medical background is a plus, but not required). We train.
• Basic computer literacy and comfort learning electronic medical record software.
• Strong multitasking abilities with strict adherence to safety standards and SOPs.
• Physical capability to assist patients in and out of hyperbaric equipment.
