A floral and celestial piece for Gabby 🌞🌸🌝🌿

This was a lot of fun to tattoo, thank you, Gabby!

(I didn’t notice until later that my camera chose to focus on the sun and made the sweet moon face a lil blurry!)

A hummingbird moth with impatiens for my client, Jennifer. She had the joy of seeing a hummingbird moth by the impatiens in her garden and was inspired to get a tattoo. I love that 💗

Thank you for the trust with this piece!

Here and now.

Tattooed on me by myself yesterday afternoon. A reminder of where I would like to be.

I’ve lived much of my life anywhere but in the present. Trauma kept parts of myself rooted in the past, reliving and looping, while anxiety propelled me into the future, using my worry to try to stay safe.

I’ve been working on being more present in my life for a while now, and there have absolutely been moments where I was. Seeking joy and really feeling into my senses have helped bring me into my body, a body that I had dissociated from for years.

Even with the work I was doing, there was a lack of motivation. I felt “pretty okay” most days, which was a stark and beautiful contrast to the intense feelings of not wanting to be a human that I’d sat with for decades, but it felt difficult to make any real forward movement. I was treading water, staying afloat but not wanting to expend any extra energy to move.

My brother Erik’s passing shifted something in me. It broke me, but with that breaking it’s allowed me to see that I’m doing myself a GREAT disservice by staying the same. Staying small, staying safe, staying quiet. I don’t know quite how to explain how the death of one of my most loved humans is propelling me to change in ways I hadn’t been able to do before, but it is.

I spoke out loud to myself as I set up for this tattoo: words of intention, the things I want to leave behind, what I desire to be. I knew that this tattoo would be a portal, both in and out. In with what I was needing, and a drain out for the parts I was choosing to be done with.

This is very similar to the work I do in my intuitive/ceremonial tattoo sessions. Tattoos can be so powerful, YOU can choose to make them what you want them to be.

Thank you for reading. Seek joy, give love, say thanks. All that good stuff, as often as you can.

My client Alexis had a little gap between two existing tattoos that she wanted filled, and I was happy to oblige. I stenciled the moth and ended up drawing the flowers on to fit the space (I love getting to draw on folks!). Thank you, Alexis!

A special walleye for 💗

Emmy’s session had extra elements woven in prior to the tattoo: breath work, a guided meditation, a heartfelt conversation, and a card reading. I’m very grateful and honored to have been asked to bring those things to the tattoo session.

Emmy, you are a bright + beautiful soul 🌟 Thank you for letting me do this for you!

My books will open on Saturday, May 16th for summer appointments! I will be scheduling for June-August for custom tattoos, and will also have a handful of dates open for tattoo ceremonies (previously called intuitive tattoos).

At 9:00 on the 16th l’ll have an appointment request from available on my site for custom tattoos, and the form will stay up for a week. Reviewing submissions and scheduling appointments typically takes me about two weeks to complete.

Tattoo ceremonies are scheduled differently; the dates I’ll have available for those will be on my site under the ‘Store’ tab. If you are wanting one of the available appointments you’ll just add the date to your cart and purchase. Your deposit is paid then and you’ll be scheduled for the date you purchased!

I’ve included a short list of subject matter that’s inspiring for me for custom tattoos (if your idea isn’t listed please still submit a form)! The list is meant to inspire folks if they know they’d like to be tattooed by me but aren’t sure what to get.

• Plant life
• Flowers
• Insects
• Birds
• Animals
• Ocean life
• Ornamental designs
• Folk-inspired designs
• Fun objects/trinkets

Please comment or dm with any questions you might have! Thank you and as always, so grateful to get tattoo you lovely folks.💗

**I’d be SO grateful if you have a moment to share this post to your stories, it really helps!**
