🎉 Celebrating 13 Years of Julie at Leaps and Bounds! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating 13 amazing years with our incredible occupational therapist, Julie! OR should we say-Dr. Julie?💙🧡
Julie brings so much to our L&B team. She combines clinical expertise with a thoughtful, big-picture perspective that helps us continue to grow and improve. She has a special talent for taking on those long-term projects and big ideas that make Leaps and Bounds better—not just today, but for years to come.
She is an incredibly skilled therapist and a wonderful mentor, always willing to share her knowledge and support those around her. And if you know Julie, you know she brings a calm, organized approach to everything she does—even the biggest challenges! 😊

Our fall groups ares starting and we have spots available. If you have a child 4-6 years old that could benefit from some support in social skills, we would love for you to give us a call. This group meets Thursdays from 4-5PM and works on play with peers, communicating ideas, problem solving, working together and managing frustrations in a group of peers. Join us!! 💙🧡🐸

We had to celebrate the end of our Little Chefs Group with an ice cream party!! The kids got to choose ice creams and add their own toppings.

This summer our Little Chefs kids did an amazing job cooking, planning, prepping, exploring foods and making friends. If you have a child that would benefit from a group like this, give us a call. 🍕🍓🍗🍅🍨🍉🐸🧡💙

👽🎯 Taking down aliens while working hard!

For OT: This swing setup can be used to target core strength, postural control, balance, motor planning, coordination, and proprioceptive input, all while reaching, aiming, and throwing bean bags at the “aliens” on our chalk wall.

For Speech: The same activity can be used to target following directions, spatial concepts, describing where the aliens are, turn-taking, requesting, and practicing speech sounds or language targets while playing.

Who says therapy can’t include a little alien hunting? 👽💙🧡
