We are a private practice and online education resource that specializes in functional nutrition, disordered eating patterns, chronic dieting, medical weight loss, and lifestyle changes. Since starting my nutrition career as a Registered Dietitian in 2012, I have been able to help thousands of clients improve their health and quality of life through balanced nutrition. Upon healing my relationship

with food and reconnecting with my body, I dedicated my career to teaching the art of mindful and intuitive eating. I completed my Master’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition, and paired that with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. In 2016 my private practice Nutrition Nibbles Consulting, LLC was born, with a focus in plant based nutrition, functional nutrition, disordered eating patterns, chronic dieting, pre-op and post-op bariatric surgery and sustainable lifestyle changes.

‘What protein powder do you recommend?’ might be the question I get asked most as a Dietitian 😅

And truthfully… I get the hype.

I’m currently obsessed with adding the vanilla protein powder with creatine to my morning oat & my kids have no idea I’m sneaking lemon ice protein powder into their smoothies 🤍🍋

🥣 My current obsession:
1/4 cup old fashioned oats (for the gut health!)
1/2 scoop vanilla vanilla protein with creatine
1/2 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
A sprinkle of walnuts
Blueberries and strawberries

🌴Saturday morning thoughts: If you feel like you've tried everything at this point to make your body weight change and nothing budges...

It's important to know that our bodies protect the weight they have already acquired -

If you have gained weight through yo-yo dieting, from a medication / illness / injury / experience of trauma, etc - it is likely your body's set point will raise AND your body will now protect that new set point range fiercely. It's a way that our body protects us from famine, emergency and promotes survival.

This may be exactly the reason you have tried your hardest to restrict and, over the years, it's just become futile. You can't stick to it, OR even if you DO stick to the restriction, your weight just won't budge.

What to do?!

Meet with a nutrition professional to work WITH physiology, not against it:

1.) Prioritize adequate, consistent fueling (especially protein + fiber for satiety signaling)

2.) Reduce extremes (chronic under-eating, aggressive dieting)

3.) Support metabolic health (sleep, resistance training, stress regulation)

4.)Focus on body composition and metabolic markers, not just scale weight

📣Hi! It’s me, “Cassandra the Dietitian”. For no apparent reason, I found now to be a good time for an update. While I’ve been quiet on here lately, I’ve been fully immersed in supporting incredible clients—all thanks to my wonderful referral partners. Every day reinforces my passion for this work and reminds me exactly why I became a dietitian.

I think it’s time for a reintroduction! Here are some fun facts about me:

1️⃣First and foremost, I am a wife and a mom of 2. They’re my greatest gifts!

2️⃣I have been a Registered Dietitian for 13+ years.

3️⃣I have an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and a master’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics.

4️⃣I have been a group fitness instructor for 17 years (omg!).

5️⃣I have been teaching Zumba dance classes for 16 years.

⭐️I am a special needs mom and advocate for rare genetic conditions.
