Silver Fern Brand

Silver Fern Brand Live Well In a similar way that the maple leaf is considered a national symbol for Canada, the silver fern is considered an unofficial symbol for New Zealand.
(3)

The naming of Silver Fern™ comes from the family heritage and association several members and owners of Silver Fern™ have with the country of New Zealand. The pristine and adventurous mountains, rivers, and valleys of New Zealand seemed an appropriate image to fit a new brand in health food and nutritional supplements. The silver fern, or cyathea dealbata, is a medium-sized tree fern native to New

Zealand and is a symbol deeply associated with the country and her people. It appears in politics, national sports teams logos and crests, national brands, print material, and is often the basis for tribal and native tattoos.

PFAS deserve attention. They are persistent chemicals, and reducing unnecessary exposure is reasonable.

But let’s maintain some perspective.

We don’t currently know that wearing one pair of athletic pants produces a meaningful health risk. We do know that carrying substantial excess body fat increases the risk of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, sleep apnea, fatty liver disease, joint problems, and premature death.

Yet people will panic over possible trace chemicals in their leggings while refusing to discuss the much larger and better-established risk they carry every day.

Am I saying PFAS are harmless? No. Please don’t turn this into that argument.

I’m saying health priorities should reflect the strength of the evidence.

Buy PFAS-free clothing if you want. But wear it while walking, lifting weights, improving your diet, and addressing the health risk we can actually measure.

Someone finally asked what we were doing to help her with her issues (Multiple sclerosis). She is having amazing success. This video is the basic, high-level summary I gave her.

To be clear, I can’t legally state products with diseases, conditions, etc. We can’t do that in videos or comments. Sorry. Those are the rules. We don’t agree with them, but we must follow the rules. BTW - that is partially the fault of supplement companies scamming people. It’s not all driven by drug companies controlling the FDA (though that is a HUGE factor). Our industry is a problem, too.

Integrity matters—especially when no one is watching.

Recently, Silver Fern Brand has been the target of online ads criticizing how we handled a situation within our Ambassador & Affiliate Program.

There’s more to the story.

We discovered that someone had joined our program by impersonating an established influencer. After being accepted, they began using paid Google Ads to promote their code and generate commissions—something that is specifically prohibited under our program policies.

When we investigated, we personally contacted the influencer whose identity had been used and confirmed that they had no involvement and were being impersonated.

Because the activity was fraudulent and violated the terms of our program, we chose not to pay commissions generated through that activity.

We were then told that if we didn’t pay, ads would be created targeting Silver Fern and criticizing the way we treat our ambassadors and affiliates.

There has now been forums and posts made targeting us saying we are dishonest.

We could ignore them. But transparency has always mattered to us.

At Silver Fern Brand, honesty and integrity aren’t values we reserve for our products.

They influence the ingredients we choose.
The claims we’re willing to make.
The way we treat our customers and partners.
And the decisions we make when doing the right thing isn’t necessarily the easiest thing.

We are incredibly grateful for the ambassadors, affiliates, customers, and community members who have helped build Silver Fern into what it is today.

Protecting the integrity of that community matters to us.

And sometimes that means being willing to stand behind a decision—even when someone spends money trying to make you regret it.

We will always choose integrity.

Thanks for being here and thanks for your continued support, it means the world to us!

I’m a huge believer in focusing on the highest priorities first.

Social media isn’t very good at that. It rewards whatever gets us triggered enough to stop scrolling. And we all bite. I do, too.

But here’s the reality:

I’d be much more concerned about chronically getting 5–6 hours of sleep than having some seed oil in my diet.

At least based on the science we have today.

Could future research change what we know about seed oils? Of course. Science changes.

But right now, human research does not show that normal consumption of seed oils causes systemic inflammation. The conversation gets muddier when we’re talking about diets loaded with ultra-processed foods, excessive calories, or oils repeatedly heated during deep frying. Those are different questions.

A little seed oil used in cooking or as a carrier in a supplement? I can’t find convincing human evidence that this is something you need to fear.

Sorry. Don’t shoot the messenger. 😂 I’m not interested in following nutrition trends. I’m interested in following the evidence.

Does that mean I personally cook everything in seed oils? Nope.

I generally use olive oil and avocado oil.

But if I find out something contains a small amount of seed oil, am I going to freak out?

No.

I’d worry a whole lot more about consistently getting enough sleep.

Focus on the big rocks first.

Good bacteria are seeds. But seeds need soil. 🌱

You can add the right strains, hit the right pH, do everything the label says — and still end up back at square one.

Here’s the part that never gets named: if the tissue’s thin, biofilms are shielding the bad bugs, or the terrain’s depleted, the best probiotic on earth won’t take hold.

It’s not that probiotics don’t work. It’s that “add bacteria” was only ever half the answer.

Good news? We have an answer coming this October🗓️

Judge all you want , the reason we started this company was so our children could live normal , healthy, and happy lives. Normal means having unhealthy nachos on occasion at the comedy show . Charlie, our daughter on the left , had horrible bloating and food sensitivities associated with her pain syndrome. Her constipation was severe. Doctor’s answer? MiraLAX for the rest of her life. Insane. Now 12 years later? She’s still bloat and laxative free. She’s free to eat what she wants . She still has her pain syndrome. It still flares. She has to keep a pretty solid healthy lifestyle of plenty of sleep , healthy foods, and exercise. But she lives a normal life for someone who has really bad pain syndrome. The nachos did nothing to her last night or this morning . Nothing .

When life throws us crap, we don’t fall back. We respond to it and find answers. Adversities are part of life for all of us . How we respond to them determines if we are happy or not.

Tiff and I took two of our kids to a comedy show - Dustin Anderson - tonight. It’s been nice having our kids home from college, even if they are now starting to leave again this coming week.

This is my favorite time of year. Between my son and his team playing , college football, and the NFL, I’m so happy .
