Restorative yoga is, by far, the most requested style of private yoga I get asked to teach.
Why?
Because it means someone is finally making space for them to slow down.
And while restorative yoga might not look fancy or impressive to the untrained eye, there is something impressive happening. Every time you breathe a little deeper, let go a little more, you’re retraining your body to recognize safety.
You’re remembering that you can stop performing.
You’re realizing that there is beauty and peace and worth in just being a human being, not a human-doing.
That’s the magic of restorative yoga.
