New peer-reviewed research published in The Journal of Applied Laboratory Medicine supports the clinical utility of the CIZ1B biomarker for early lung cancer detection.

The study — led by Professor Dawn Coverley of the University of York — evaluated the same ELISA-based assay now commercially available to licensed healthcare providers in Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio. In the early-stage cohort, CIZ1B demonstrated 94% sensitivity and a 97% negative predictive value.

We were proud to attend the Next Generation DX Summit 2026 in Washington, D.C.

One of the highlights was a presentation by Dr. Lary Robinson, Director of the Lung Cancer Early Detection Center (LEAD) at Moffitt Cancer Center, on the potential of the CIZ1B biomarker blood test for early lung cancer detection.

Dr. Robinson also discussed the clinical validation study of the CIZ1B biomarker blood test currently underway at Moffitt Cancer Center.

It was wonderful to see Dr. Robinson and Cizzle Bio CEO Bill Behnke together following the presentation.

San Antonio, access to the CIZ1B Biomarker Blood Test for Lung Cancer is now available through licensed healthcare providers.

CIZ1B is a minimally invasive biomarker blood test designed to provide clinicians with an additional biomarker-based tool when evaluating patients for lung cancer.

The test is intended to complement established diagnostic approaches, including LDCT, and should be interpreted together with patient history, imaging studies, risk factors, symptoms, and other clinical findings.

For patients:
If you have concerns about your lung health or personal risk for lung cancer, speak with your healthcare provider about appropriate screening and diagnostic options and whether CIZ1B may be appropriate as part of your evaluation.
