This exercise trains unilateral balance , hip speed and power force production, core acceleration and deceleration, and rotational power transfer. All these movements are imperative to increasing your ability to sequence and execute your golf swing at a higher level. HIIT is very important to prevent fatigue especially in tournaments where u r playing 36 holes n 1 day in various conditions that increase your fatigue factor.
Slamball 10 -20 lbs 10 (45 degree jumps with 100 percent intensity) followed by 1min on Versaclimber, Assault Bike , Etc . Beginners 1-2 rounds , Intermediate 2-4, Advanced 3-5, Professional 5-10 .

SKIP’S COACHING TIPS BEFORE HITTING A SHOT TO LOWER YOUR SCORES
1. Breathing is imperative in starting your pre-shot routine.Breathing by inhaling and exhaling through your nose, increases physical performance,mentally it increases your ability to RELAX, FOCUS, and DISTRACTS you from CONSCIOUS thoughts and OUTSIDE ENVIRONMENTAL DISTRACTIONS.
2. Know your exact yardages and lines to correctly play the hole ,wind direction on every shot, distances to bunkers or hazards.
3. Visualize your target, trajectory,landing area,and final place you want your ball to end up
4. If you don’t have a TARGET ON EVERY SHOT,nothing else matters.
5.Your BODY will respond to what your MIND-sees. Make sure you see and focus on the target you want your ball to land on.
6. EVERY PRACTICE SWING in your PRE-SHOT ROUTINE must have a PURPOSE. If you are practicing your practice swings with no PURPOSE in your mind, then you are wasting valuable time.
7. FOCUS on your TARGET 90 percent of your time and 10 percent on the ball.
8. Adapt this mantra:
BSFBE: BREATH, SEE,FEEL,BREATH,EXECUTE
Then Hit your shot!

Once u have obtained a solid foundation of mobility,strength, speed and power by consistently training in the gym, u can do functional exercises ( example 1arm medicine balls throws) that are done in the same angles in the golf swing that will exponentially improve your golf swing. Being a mental and physical golf performance coach for over 40 years, every player I coach thoroughly understands why I implement certain functional exercises to improve their ability to successfully execute a golf shot. If u want to become a better player and shoot lower scores , do the following:
1. Be consistent in your training program which includes doing exercises to increase your Mobility, Strength, Speed , and Power.
2. Follow a daily written training & practice plan with goals u want to accomplish that fits your time schedule.
3. At end of each practice, write down the goals u accomplished and ones u didn’t.
Example: Working on hitting high fades with my irons. If u can’t successfully hit those shots 60 percent , u then can go to your PGA Golf instructor and ask for help. 4. Every month u should evaluate your progress in the gym and on the course.
5.If u consistently follow a quality PROCESS , u will be amazed at what u can accomplish in the gym, practice, and on the course. The end result SHOOTING LOWER SCORES will just happen.

1Arm Med Ball Throws to help u compress the golf ball, hit your irons further and prevent elbow and wrist injuries.
Start: 2 sets,10 reps with 2lb med ball and progress up to 8 lbs if u r consistent with your training. Focus on executing these exercises in the same angles of your golf swing.Numerous scientific research studies have shown that once a solid foundation has been developed in your training , then by doing certain functional exercises in the same angles of a sport: golf, baseball, and tennis will increase your performance 28-30 percent.

My new STATE OF THE ART CUSTOM VERSACLIMBER is amazing . 10 levels of resistance which allows workouts which will increase your cardio , strength, speed , power and mobility depending on the resistance level U choose for your training session. I can unequivocally state that myself and 100s + players I have coached for the years that have consistently trained on Versaclimber/ Verapulley ,might get beat but they do not loose to FATIGUE! There is a reason why Hall of Fame players such as Lebron James, Stephen Curry, and 100 s of world class athletes train on a Versaclimber is because they want to make sure they can give 100 percent without fatigue during a game. Congratulations to Jai Bahl and his team ,Sacramento State winning the Big Sky Championship. Jai shot 61 which is the lowest score ever shot in the Championship.
I coached Jai when he was a junior player.
He had talent, focus and drive to become an elite player.
Obviously, all his hard training , practicing and competing at Sacramento State has been very instrumental n his progress and success.
I am always excited to see when a pass player I was fortunate to coach,is successful!

HIIT 30 sec intervals (25), (5) 1 min on Pre core elliptical trainer. Max HR 167, 15 percent above chart for senior athlete.Still standing πŸ˜‚. A junior player just came n for his training session and saw my last few intervals.
He asked me why I still try to max it out at my age πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, I told him I have been training like this for over 50 years, why change now.
No matter what u what to accomplish in your life just be consistent.
