Happy Summer Solstice! ☀️😅
It’s not just vibes. Sunlight genuinely affects mood and energy.
🌞 Morning light helps regulate your circadian rhythm, which supports healthier sleep-wake cycles and more balanced cortisol patterns throughout the day.
🧠 Bright light exposure is also linked to serotonin activity and improved mood, which is why light therapy can help some people with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).
☀️ Plus, sunlight helps our skin produce vitamin D, which researchers have also explored in relation to mood and mental health.
None of this means medication like Zoloft isn’t important or life-changing for many people. But humans are still surprisingly plant-like sometimes. Water, sleep, movement, sunlight… suddenly we can answer emails again. 🌿💛
