Many people start “eating clean” with the intention of supporting their health goals, more energy, better blood sugars, feeling more in control.

But for a lot of people, it ends up doing the opposite.

Instead of feeling better, they feel more tired, more hungry, more focused on food, and more frustrated with themselves.

What’s often happening is that “clean eating” usually comes with a lot of restriction, food rules, and under-fueling, even if it feels subtle at first.

If food starts to feel stressful, rigid, or all-consuming, that’s important information. It might mean the approach isn’t supportive for you.

We talk more about this in our recent podcast episode.

Wondering “Should I get a CGM?”

A Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) is a wearable device that tracks your glucose in real time and shows patterns throughout the day and night, not just single numbers.

CGMs are commonly used for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, and sometimes in cases of insulin resistance or when deeper insight into glucose trends is helpful.

They can help you see how food, stress, sleep, movement, and hormones impact your glucose, but the real value comes from understanding what the data actually means for your body.

Our #1 tip: don’t do it alone. Work with a medical provider, like a Registered Dietitian, who can help you interpret your patterns and turn data into practical, personalized support.

If you want more info on whether a CGM may be helpful for you, comment SUPPORT below and we’ll match you with an RD today.

A satisfying salad usually needs more than just lettuce and dressing. Adding protein, carbs, fat, flavor, and texture can make a huge difference in fullness, energy, and satisfaction.

And honestly? Salads do not have to be lettuce-based to “count.” Pasta salads, bean salads, grain bowls, roasted veggie salads, potato salads, and warm bowls all deserve a seat at the table 🥗

Supporting your health and blood sugar should feel realistic, enjoyable, and sustainable not like forcing yourself to eat meals you dread.

We talk more about this in this week’s podcast episode all about salads, satisfaction, and whether you actually need salads to be healthy

Building a peaceful relationship with food is not about eating “perfectly.”

So many of us were taught to label foods as “good” or “bad,” which can leave us feeling disconnected from our bodies and stuck in cycles of shame or restriction. But food is so much more than that.

Food can be nourishment.
Food can be comfort.
Food can be culture, joy, memory, and connection.

This post shares a few gentle tools to help you:
✨ quiet the inner critic
✨ unpack food guilt
✨ regulate your nervous system
✨ reconnect with your body with more compassion

Healing your relationship with food doesn’t happen overnight, but small shifts in awareness can make a big difference.

Which tip resonated with you most?

Is fiber really that important? Spoiler alert: yes!

Fiber is a type of carbohydrate found in plant foods that supports digestion, gut health, blood sugar balance, heart health, and fullness.

There are two types:
- Soluble fiber: helps stabilize blood sugar, support heart health, and feed healthy gut bacteria
- Insoluble fiber: helps keep digestion regular and reduce constipation

You can find fiber in:
🥦 Fruits & vegetables
🌾 Whole grains
🫘 Beans & lentils
🥜 Nuts & seeds

Key takeaway: Adding more fiber-rich foods can support overall health in a simple, sustainable way!

What is your favorite way to get in your fiber?
