Today marks International Overdose Awareness Day.

We pause to remember those who have died from an overdose and hold in our hearts the families, friends and communities who carry their loss.

We also remember those lost to alcohol-related illness. For many, it is a different substance—but the same disease of addiction, deserving the same compassion, understanding and access to treatment.

Today, we remember without judgment.

We speak their names. We work to end the stigma.

Survival is a gift. A transplant is a gift. At The Liver Circle we celebrate both and more. Resiliency comes in all forms and whether you have experienced a medical crisis or felt alone for any reason help is out there. Sometimes you just have to ask!

A transplant shouldn't be a confinement sentence. It is a second chance at life. Take the needed percautions and follow your doctor's advice, but don't be afraid to go our an DO LIFE. Take the time to stop and smell the roses or eat off the fine china. OR.....maybe indulge in a little cheescake. Thank you to , I mean Rose Nylund, for showing us resilience AND a damn good time!
