We would like to announce a leadership transition at our Vision Clinic! Dr. William McRee will be concluding his tenure as director, and Dr. Rupert Chowins will be returning to the role.

We want to thank Dr McRee for his service as SLO Noor's Vision Director for the past 2 years! During his time with SLO Noor, he held vision clinics, oversaw our eye surgery program, and performed free eye surgeries for SLO Noor patients. We are grateful and appreciate that he has chosen to continue to be part of the SLO Noor family by continuing to provide free eye surgeries for our Vision Clinic patients in need. Thank you, Dr McRee!

We also want to thank Dr Chowins, who is our Founding Vision Clinic Director, for returning from retirement to man the helm once more! Dr Chowins already has some great initiatives underway to help strengthen the Vision team, and the services they provide to our Vision patients! Welcome back, Dr Chowins!

Our partner clinic, the Women's Mobile Health Unit, is a program that provides free medical care to uninsured adult women here on the Central Coast.
They are anticipating a drop in funding, which puts these essential services at risk. This mobile clinic is often the only access to care for many of the women they serve.
To help support the program, they are hosting a wellness fundraiser: YoBa (yoga + boba) on Saturday, May 16th from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Santa Rosa Park!
It will be a relaxed, community-centered event with yoga for all levels, boba, and a raffle with some great prizes (raffle tickets available for purchase). Tickets are $20 for students and $25 for the general public (plus fees), and all proceeds go directly toward sustaining the Women's Mobile Health Unit. Donations are also very welcome.
