At PSNI, we believe being part of a community means more than just being in it. It means showing up, supporting the people doing good work, and finding ways to give back whenever we can.

While several of our participants volunteer with SASi each week delivering Meals on Wheels to local seniors, today, PSNI staff were happy to show up and support the Sandpoint Area Seniors (SASi) Uncorked Wine Tasting Fundraiser.

Different people. Different organizations. Different ways of giving back to the same community we are all so proud to be a part of.

Cheers to a fantastic event, friends.

And thank you for giving us an excellent excuse to support our community with a glass of wine in hand. 🍷

"It's not just charity for the sake of giving them money or solving a problem. It's about figuring out what would give them a really good life where there was peace and safety." — Trinity Nicholson, Panhandle Special Needs - PSNI

Hidden homelessness in Bonner County looks different than what you see in bigger cities — and that's exactly what makes it so easy to overlook in a community like ours. Trinity Nicholson of PSNI, Rebecca Little of Bridge Haven., and Todd Lewis of Helping Hands Healing Hearts joined Birdie for one of our most powerful conversations yet. This one will stay with you. 🎙️

Earlier this year, one of our amazing PSNI interns — who also happens to work at Starbucks in Ponderay — nominated us for a Starbucks $1,000 community grant. On July 17, we were honored to receive it, and we’ve been looking for the perfect way to say thank you since.

So today, we loaded up our crew, headed to Starbucks, and decided to pay that kindness forward by handing out TWENTY $5 Starbucks gift cards to some of their unexpecting customers.

Why? Because kindness is meant to be shared.

Support comes in all kinds of forms. Sometimes it’s a grant. Sometimes it’s a friendly face. And sometimes it’s a random act of kindness and a free cup of coffee when you least expect it.

A huge thank you to our friends at Starbucks for investing in PSNI and helping our community run on kindness… and a little extra caffeine ☕ We hope these small surprises brought a few smiles and brightened someone’s day.

We had a sax-ceptional afternoon at PSNI!

Big thanks to our incredibly talented friends, The 4 Saxes USA, for your time and talent, while filling our building with great music, lots of smiles, and even a little dancing. Our participants loved every minute of it.

Community partnerships like these make our days a little brighter, and a lot more fun.

Can anyone guess what song they’re playing? Drop your guess in the comments! ⬇️

Today you can find us at the Litehouse YMCA participating in the Campfire Across America event. Their goal is to foster human connection, community, and belonging, by bringing people together around a campfire. Even if it’s 100*!

And you know how much we appreciate community and inclusion!

We encourage you, and all our followers, to head over and fill up their parking lot, play some games, mingle, and be a part of our community!

Event ends at 6, so come while you can and visit with us!

See you there!

🎉 Congratulations, Chrissy! 🎉

Today we celebrate a very special milestone — Chrissy has officially retired from PSNI’s Work Services Program!

Chrissy has been a long time member of our Work Services team, and this is such a huge accomplishment. We are so incredibly proud of her hard work, dedication, and all that she has achieved over the years.

While Chrissy is retiring from Work Services, we are so happy that she will continue coming to PSNI to enjoy this exciting new chapter of retirement with her friends.

Chrissy, you did it! We are so proud of you! 💛
