🧼🛁Nelly had a well deserved spa day today with the amazing Emy Lou!

🗓️This week thus far she’s been working hard supporting clients in our pediatric pelvic health OT practice.

Here are some of the highlights of her work this week:

1. Providing deep pressure to a 3 year old client who was dysregulated and having a tough time transitioning between therapeutic activities.
2. Sharing her clinic bed with a 6 year old client who wanted to lay with her and snuggle before attempting a really challenging core and pelvic floor exercise sequence.
3. Catching a million bubbles in her mouth when clients (range of 3-12 years old) practiced diaphragmatic breathing while sitting on the big toilet or potty seat.

❤️Everyone loves Nelly, because she provides animal assisted interventions to help clients reach their therapeutic goals! Shes the biggest motivators and cheerleader for some of our clients who really value her support 😍🤩🫶🏽🎊

😍Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mothers and mothering figures in our world! You are AMAZING, strong, compassionate, loving, patient and so many other things that the world and your child/family/community needs.

✨It is not always easy or joyful,but we show up with imperfections and all, because people count on us and our deep strength, courage and bravery in the face of difficulties. That’s what helps build our character, and our resilience in life. I see you and I’m walking by your side holding your hand because I am you and you are me.

✨Cheers to you mamas! May you be blessed in all the ways today and always 💗🫶🏽✝️🙏🏽

😍I had the absolute best time at AOTA inspire 2026 from the expo to poster presentation short courses and all the things in between with the meet ups and seeing both old friends and new friends it was such a beautiful three days with so much inspiration. Looking forward to all the connections and future collaborations with wonderful OTP‘s. Thank you for all the amazing therapist and students who stopped by my two poster presentations and had robust conversations about the work that I do in both pediatric pelvic health, occupational therapy and in supporting maternal infant mental health and well-being!

😍🤩Can’t wait till next year in Boston one of my favorite places on the East Coast who’s going to be there? Let’s get together! 😍🫶🏽

Many parents come to pediatric pelvic health coaching unsure of what to do, or sometimes where to start. Their child might strain for p*e and p**p, rush through the steps, or seem uncomfortable/fearful but they’re not sure why. Coaching helps families understand what could be the root causes of what they are noticing in their child and find a plan to improve overall function for toileting.

Through guided support in our parent coaching sessions, you learn small ways to help your child build more body awareness, improve toileting skills, and improve confidence and self esteem. It’s about giving you the tools to help your child feel safe and capable in their own body.
