In 44 years of practice, few preparations have earned a more permanent place in my teaching than this one. 🌿

CCF tea β€” coriander, cumin, and fennel β€” with two treasured herbs of the tradition: manjistha and anantamul. In Ayurvedic understanding, this spice water is traditionally used to cleanse and nourish the bloodstream, supporting the free movement of oxygen and nutrients through the body. When circulation flows well, every tissue is fed.

THE RECIPE:
β€’ 1 tsp each: coriander, cumin, fennel seeds
β€’ ΒΌ tsp each: manjistha and anantamul

Simmer the three seeds in 8 cups of water. Strain the seeds out. Return the liquid to the pot, add the manjistha and anantamul, and let them simmer β€” the herbs remain in the tea. That's your 8 cups for the day.

Drink all 8 cups if you can. If you can't, drink what you can, keep the rest in the fridge, and continue until the batch is done β€” then begin again.

Continuity matters more than perfection.

Your body has been answering questions your whole life β€” what wakes you at 3 a.m., why one friend thrives on spicy food while it sets you on fire, why some of us skip breakfast easily and others cannot.

In Ayurvedic understanding, those patterns aren't random. They're your constitution speaking β€” Vata, Pitta, Kapha, or a blend that's yours alone.

The Mystical-Modern Ayurvedic Body Type Quiz takes about five minutes. Answer quickly β€” your body knows before your mind does. You'll leave with your type and your first simple alignments to try today.

A mirror, not a verdict. 🌿

In Ayurveda, Rasa dhatu β€” serum, lymph, and the fluid portion of the blood β€” is the first tissue nourished after digestion, carrying nutrients across the body like a river irrigating every organ. When Rasa flows clear, digestion feels light, the mind feels content, and the body feels resilient. When depleted, dryness, fatigue, and restlessness can appear. This is a food-centered, constitution-aware approach to longevity that honors traditional wisdom. Foods traditionally used to nourish Rasa β€” avocados, extra-virgin olive oil, and soaked nuts β€” lubricate tissues and support balance, while hydrating stews and gentle spices like fennel and coriander round out the routine. Simple daily rhythms β€” warm water on waking, morning light, gentle movement, and consistent meal timing β€” support the calm, cool, flowing terrain the body thrives in. Notice your own signals over the weeks: skin suppleness, steady energy, calmer mood. Educational content. Not medical advice.

That predictable energy dip during seasons of grief may be more than simple tiredness. In traditional Ayurveda, emotions directly influence metabolism and the flow of Prana, the life force. When grief settles in, breathing turns shallow, stagnation and heaviness increase, digestive fire weakens, and energy fades. This is your body communicating, not malfunctioning. Practices that restore depth and rhythm to the breath β€” fresh-air walks, gentle chest-opening movement, humming, and mindful sighs β€” are traditionally used to support flow. Warm, spiced, easy-to-digest meals at regular times help steadily fuel your energy, and even 30 minutes of daily walking can make a difference. Small, consistent actions support the nervous system and promote balance. Educational content. Not medical advice.

That heavy, drained feeling during sadness has roots worth understanding. In traditional Ayurveda, grief settles into the upper lobes of the lungs, shortening the breath and restricting the flow of Prana, the life force. When breath grows shallow, energy dips and everything feels sluggish. Practices that restore depth and rhythm to the breath, fresh-air walks, gentle chest-opening postures, humming, and mindful sighs, are traditionally used to support that release. Pairing breath with warm liquids, ginger tea, and regular mealtimes adds steady fuel. Grounding herbs like ashwagandha are traditionally used to support steadiness and nourishment. This is nervous system support and gentle nourishment, meeting fatigue with breath, warmth, and compassion rather than force. Educational content. Not medical advice.

Feeling heavy, sluggish, and tired during a season of sadness? Ancient Ayurvedic wisdom teaches that grief can settle in the upper lobes of the lungs, restricting the breath and slowing the flow of Prana, the life force. This can leave energy dipping at predictable times of day. Gentle practices like fresh-air walks, chest-opening movement, humming, mindful sighs, warm liquids, and regular mealtimes are traditionally used to restore depth and rhythm to the breath and support the nervous system. Your body is not the enemy. It is the messenger. Meeting heaviness with breath, warmth, and compassion invites steady energy to return.

That heavy, drained feeling after loss is more than tiredness. Traditional Ayurvedic teachings describe grief settling into the upper lobes of the lungs, where it can obstruct Prana, the life force that animates every cell. When breath grows shallow, energy dips and a sense of heaviness lingers. Grief can also increase Kapha and slow the digestive fire, adding to sluggishness. Practices that restore depth and rhythm to the breath are traditionally used to support this pattern: gentle chest-opening movement, mindful sighs, humming, and walks in fresh air. Deep belly breathing supports the nervous system and a sense of safety. Warm, cooked meals at regular times, along with warming spices like ginger and cinnamon, are traditionally used to gently rekindle inner fire. Small, consistent rituals nourish the heart and promote balance, helping steady energy return over time. Educational content. Not medical advice.

Feeling tired and heavy during a season of grief? Ancient Ayurvedic wisdom teaches that grief and sadness are traditionally held in the upper lobes of the lungs, shifting the breath and dimming our energy. When breath becomes shallow, life force can't flow freely, and heaviness and stagnation may build. This is educational support, not a diagnosis. Simple practices, deep breathing, fresh-air walks, gentle chest-opening movement, warm and lightly spiced meals at regular times, and warm ginger tea, are traditionally used to support steady energy and promote balance. Allow tears, move gently, and seek connection. Your body is a messenger, not the enemy. Educational content. Not medical advice.

Persistent fatigue during times of loss often has emotional roots. In traditional Ayurveda, grief settles into the upper lobes of the lungs, where shallow breathing restricts the flow of Prana, the life force. When breath contracts, digestive fire dims and heaviness and low energy follow. Gentle, consistent practices help restore depth and rhythm to the breath: deep belly breathing to support the nervous system, walks in fresh air, humming, warm cooked meals at regular times, and warm ginger tea between meals. Daily movement, even a short walk, is traditionally used to support steady energy. These small acts signal safety to the nervous system and invite balance. Educational content. Not medical advice.
