Let’s clear a few things up real quick:

Real talk, but also meant to make you giggle!

• Toothpaste dries out pimples
Yes… and also your skin barrier. You’re not treating acne. You’re creating irritation, inflammation, and potential scarring. (I used to do this in my teens)

• You don’t need moisturizer if you have oily skin
Wrong. Oily skin still needs hydration. Skip moisturizer, and your skin will often produce more oil to compensate.

• The more you scrub, the cleaner your skin gets
Nope. Over-exfoliating = compromised barrier, breakouts, sensitivity, and inflammation. Gentle and consistent always wins.

• Pores open and close. They don’t have little doors. Heat and steam can soften debris, making pores appear smaller after cleansing, but they don’t actually open and close. (I grew up thinking they did)

Healthy skin isn’t about doing more… it’s about doing what actually works.
