In 2017 I turned my hobby of telling people about the benefits of plant-based eating, into a business of feeding a community. I am proud of what we built, the people we have met, the opportunities that have been given to me, and the good health to do it all!

Over the last few months, I felt a sudden and urgent need to be back in the academic classroom teaching children, and to shift my focus entirely to my kids and husband. With that need in mind, I have decided to end Morsel operations and have accepted a 4th grade teaching position at The Habersham School, beginning Fall 2023.

It has been one of the greatest joys of my life to serve you. Many of you have become my friends, and I am thankful that my job has always been my pleasure. As I make this transition, it is hard for me to muster any feeling other than gratefulness that I had this opportunity, and now the liberty to make a decision like this for my family. Next week is our last delivery, and tomorrow is the last day to submit an order for next week!

Oatmeal cream pies and granola bars from last week, creamy potato soup and tamale pie this week 🍪 🥗
Also, showing off summer rolls and veggie sushi with smoked tofu we made this weekend at home.

Sam and I are traveling to Arizona next week, so no deliveries on April 25th! We will be back on May 2nd (order deadline for May 2nd is April 26th).

Lastly, I’m going to do something on here I haven’t done in a long time, and show our culinary adventures outside of Morsel to hopefully inspire creativity in your homes 💚 🌱

Small business in 2022 is not for the weak, but we have had the best year yet, both personally and professionally, in large part because of our amazing customer base! Alrighty, so we made the tough decision that we would no longer include a complimentary salad with every order. I won’t bore you with inflation and the impact it has on small business, because you know. However, you can still order salads as an add on, soup orders do come with a side salad, and every week there is an entree item called “Double Salad”, which is 2 salads for the $ of one entree.

Keep eating salads and thanks for supporting small biz!

Family Mediterranean Bowl: romaine on the bottom, a grain mixture (super food tabbouleh), olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, vegan tzatziki and Morsel hummus. It’s a little cliche to say, “I love salad.” But I actually really love salad. My Ayurvedic dosha is Pitta 🔥, so raw foods cool me down both in temperature and temperament. This time of year I eat tons of raw tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon, and peaches! Who are my salad people???!!! 🙋🏻‍♀️ 🙋‍♂️
