The Greenhouse Project A vibrant community greenhouse. As a public charity, our programs benefit education, nutrition, and local hunger projects. We operate a 3000 sq. ft.

Hosting classes, education, wellness events, growing organic food plants, supporting community Gardens, and hunger, initiatives, and flower sales in Nay Aug Park, Scranton PA. Since 2002 - growing a sustainable community through education, wholesome food, and healthy active living.The Greenhouse Project’s focus is to educate both children and adults about the relationship between the foods we eat

and our personal and public health. The Greenhouse Project promotes a food ecosystem that is healthy for both people and the environment and that promotes disease prevention through diet, movement, and active living. greenhouse in Scranton’s Nay Aug Park and three thriving community gardens. Scranton, 2 miles easy.
Built over 100 years ago, Lake Scranton has been a main recreational feature in the area for running, walking, nature study, bird watching, and photography.

It is a native, broadleaf evergreen shrub known for its clusters of pink and white, star-shaped blossoms that typically reach peak bloom in late spring and early summer.Key FactsOfficial Designation: Signed into law by Governor Gifford Pinchot on May 5, 1933.Plant Type: A broadleaf evergreen shrub that typically grows between 4 to 10 feet tall, featuring glossy, dark green, leather-like leaves.Bloom Time: Late May through the month of June.Toxicity: All parts of the plant are highly toxic to humans and animals if ingested.Family: Belongs to the Heath (Ericaceae) family, which includes blueberries, huckleberries, cranberries, and rhododendrons.

We had so much fun today with these fabulous smart students from the dePaul school and their teachers and chaperones. Such a nice group. I think the kids had a blast and learn all about greenhouses and transplanting. They love, touching and smelling all the herbs.
