Banchero Disability Partners empowers adults with developmental disabilities.

Banchero Disability Partners provides 24-hour support services and case management to 35 adults who have developmental disabilities. Our clients have a wide variety of needs: from those who require constant protective supervision, to others who need only financial or medical assistance. Many of the people we help experience a mental health or substance abuse diagnosis, and some have survived great

hardships such as abuse or homelessness. Most of our clients live in single apartments among clusters of their friends, some share a home with one or more roommates. We provide support and education in areas such as: meal-planning, nutrition, cooking, shopping, budgeting, bill-paying, banking, cleaning, laundry, exercise, social skills, and using public transportation. We provide financial and case management to make sure our clients have desirable jobs, social security income, subsidized housing, utility and food assistance, excellent medical care, and mental health services when needed. We support and encourage our clients to enjoy activities such as: sports programs, attending classes and cultural events, and volunteering. We work with our clients so they understand and are part of the political process that affects their lives, help them to advocate for their civil rights, and be full participants in their communities.

🌟Our staff retreat at Rosehill Community Center was filled with laughter, connection, creativity, and a whole lot of fun! A special thank you to Jennifer and Juanita from Maypop Grove, for being such wonderful hosts and making sure our team felt welcomed, supported, and ready to show off those dance moves! 💃🌟🕺

💜We’re grateful to Kathy Davis for sharing Stephanie’s journey of finding the right supportive living agency after several placements weren’t the right fit. Her advocacy and dedication are a powerful reminder of the importance of finding the right place where each person can feel supported, valued, and at home. 💜

From small group conversations and mocktails to a delicious lunch, a walk to the lighthouse, and creative art projects, our team had the chance to connect, relax, learn, and simply enjoy being together. 🎨🌊

And, of course, we had to showcase those staff dance moves! 😂

🎷Our wonderful Don took a trip with his staff member Awa to the North City Jazz Walk, where they had the pleasure of meeting Carol Salter, the Executive Director of BDP and President of Shoreline Rotary who was also assisting their group in the beer and wine garden.
As they strolled along, Don was thrilled to spot some fire trucks and couldn’t resist capturing photos of them. 📸If you're familiar with Don, you know he has a passion for photography, particularly capturing moments and things he adores. 🚒A heartfelt thank you to the Shoreline Fire Department for making our client's day extremely special and reminding us all of the joy found in small, unexpected moments. 👨‍🚒💥

🍉This past weekend, we gathered for our annual community inclusion picnic at Hamlin Park—marking our first celebration at this lovely park. 🩵 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in this joyful occasion! It was delightful to see our new members engage in our beloved traditions, along with our current members. 🤝 A special shoutout to the City of Shoreline Parks & Rec for their Love Your Community Grant! Your continued support made this picnic a reality! 🎀

⚓Our team member Claire had permission to take Kelsey on the ferry over to Kingston to meet up with Kelsey's dad. From there, he took them to a dog 🐾 show out in Sequim — what a great day trip! 🌊Here are some photos from their ferry ride across the water. They had such a blast watching the waves and enjoying the scenery. Nothing beats a ferry ride on a beautiful day! ⛴️

🌿A big THANK YOU goes to Cedar Grove for generously donating their premium compost soil for Dan's garden beds. With such exceptional quality soil, the vegetables are flourishing beautifully! Dan is absolutely thrilled to witness this growth, as it allows him to enjoy healthy eating!🌿
