Truth time: this summer knocked the wind out of me.

Not once, but repeatedly—before I could catch my breath or find my footing from the last hit.

I’m resilient, but this time I had to admit: I’m not okay, and I need support.

So I paused. I rested. I reached out to people with whom I felt safe being a complete mess. I journaled and asked what these experiences were trying to show me.

When we’re angry, overwhelmed, afraid, or exhausted, clarity can be difficult to access. Sometimes we need to let the emotions move and refill our cup before we can see the situation differently.

I’m on the other side now, and this is what helped me:
✨ Asking for support
✨ Taking a genuine timeout
✨ Allowing myself to rest
✨ Journaling and looking beneath the surface
✨ Leaning on people who made it safe to be vulnerable

Choosing your soul path means accepting that not everyone will understand, approve of, or support the person you’re becoming.

Your dreams cannot depend on someone else’s vote.

The right people will want to see you grow, follow your heart, and succeed—even when your path looks different from theirs. And if someone continually asks you to play small so they can remain comfortable, it may be time to love them from a distance.

Your purpose must become more important than their approval.
