When checking your skin for melanoma, don’t just watch the moles you already have. Look for what’s NEW. 🔎 Recent research found that approximately 3 out of 4 invasive melanomas developed de novo—meaning they were not associated with a pre-existing mole.
We often hear about watching for a mole that changes in size, shape or color and that’s still incredibly important. But a brand-new spot deserves your attention, too.
Get familiar with your skin. Pay attention to what’s changing AND what wasn’t there before. And if something looks new, different or concerning, have your dermatologist take a look.
Your skin is worth checking and be sure to book an appointment with us this week.

Your best beauty treatment might be the one you’re doing with your eyes closed. 😴✨
While you sleep, your skin gets a chance to reset, supporting barrier repair, collagen production, circulation, and recovery from the stressors of the day.

When sleep is disrupted, that restorative process can be disrupted too, which may show up as dryness, sensitivity, dullness, or a more stressed-looking complexion.
So yes, your skincare routine matters. Your treatments matter. But so does rest.
Think of sleep as part of your skin health plan, not an afterthought.

And when your skin needs a little extra support, we’re here to help. 🤍

Summer may be slowing down, but the UV rays are still going strong. ☀️
UPF clothing is an important part of your sun protection routine. Unlike everyday fabrics, UPF-rated clothing is specifically designed to help protect your skin from UV radiation and it’s one more layer of defense alongside your daily SPF.
Because some of the most important things you can do for your skin happen outside of the treatment room.
Wear the SPF. Grab the hat. Choose the UPF. Protect the investment you’re making in your skin every day. 🤍
And before summer officially comes to a close, give us a call to get on the books for your end-of-summer skin check.

When it comes to lip filler, always follow the aftercare protocol recommended by your injector. And makeup? It’s best to wait until your provider gives you the green light.
Giving those fresh injection sites time to heal can help minimize the risk of unnecessary irritation or infection.
A little patience now for lips you’ll love later. ✨
From cosmetic treatments to your general dermatology needs, we’re here to take care of your skin every step of the way. Give us a call to get on the books!

Summer may be slowing down, but all that fun in the sun can start to catch up with your skin. ☀️
August is a great time to take a closer look and check for changes in tone, texture, pigmentation, or any new or changing spots.
And as we head into fall, it’s also the perfect time to start planning ahead for treatments like laser resurfacing to address the visible signs of summer sun damage.
Consider this your end-of-summer skin check. ✨

Seeing hair in your brush or shower doesn’t always mean you’re experiencing hair loss. 👀
It’s completely normal to shed around 50–100 hairs every day as part of your hair’s natural growth cycle.
What matters is when something changes. If you’re suddenly shedding more than usual, noticing a widening part, a thinner ponytail, patches of hair loss, or more visible scalp, it may be time to check in with your dermatologist.
Hair loss can have many causes, and understanding why it’s happening is the first step toward finding the right treatment.
This , pay attention to what’s normal for you. And if something feels different, we’re here to help. 🤍
