NAPHSIS The National Association of Public Health Statistics and Information Systems (NAPHSIS) is a national nonprofit organization established in 1933.

The National Association for Public Health Statistics and Information Systems (NAPHSIS) is the national association of state vital records and public health statistics offices which is based in the Washington, DC area. It serves as a crucial advocate for state vital records and public health statistics offices across the United States. Comprising over 250 public health professionals from each state, the five territories, New York, and the District of Columbia, NAPHSIS provides national advocacy, technical assistance, training, educational programming, and valuable resources to support and promote its membership.

Our 2026 Northeast Regional Meeting in Baltimore has officially come to a close!

Over the past two days, vital records professionals came together to share ideas, tackle challenges, and discuss important topics like modernization, digital issuance, data sharing, fraud prevention, and more!

The NAPHSIS West Regional Meeting is complete in Denver!

Yesterday, attendees kicked things off with conversations on delayed birth, workforce development, digital issuance, innovations, and the hot topics keeping jurisdictions talking.

Today, the conversations continue with systems discussions, roundtables, statistics, fraud and cyberattacks, and what’s on the horizon for legislation.

There’s nothing better than bringing our community together to share ideas, tackle challenges, and learn from one another. Thanks to everyone joining us in Denver!

This week, NAPHSIS went behind the scenes at NorthStar in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota!

Our team had the opportunity to tour their operations and see firsthand the process, technology, and attention to detail that go into producing security paper.

That’s a wrap on our first 2026 Regional Meeting!

We kicked off our Regional Meetings in Minnesota with the Midwest Region on September 28–29. Over two packed days, attendees came together to connect, share experiences, and dive into conversations around modernization, digital issuance, accreditation, legislation, SSA contracts, county and tribal relationships, and more.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped start this year’s Regional Meetings on such a great note!
