SD, MN, ND, and IA friends, please keep your eyes out for 16-year-old Deren Pershall. He has been missing since last night, August 22.

Deren was last seen around 8 PM leaving the Angostura Dam area near Hot Springs, South Dakota, driving a 2004 black Chevy Impala with SD license plate 27Z386. His cell phone is turned off.

Deren is approximately 5'7", 131 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and black-and-white Nike shoes.

Please pay close attention to the vehicle and license plate. By now, he could be well outside the immediate Hot Springs area, so please share throughout South Dakota, Minnesota, North Dakota, Iowa, and surrounding areas.

If you see Deren, his vehicle, or have any information about where he may be, please contact Fall River County Dispatch at 605-745-5155 immediately.

🚨 FBI OFFERS $25,000 REWARD IN UNSOLVED PINE RIDGE HOMICIDE 🚨

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the killing of Alton Mesteth, 54, on the Pine Ridge Reservation.

On January 27, 2024, someone fired multiple shots from a vehicle into Alton's home near Kyle, South Dakota, killing him. Investigators believe he was likely not the intended target.

More than a year later, this case remains unsolved, and the FBI is renewing its appeal for information through Operation Steadfast Promise and Operation Not Forgotten, initiatives focused on violent crime and unresolved cases in Tribal communities.

Someone knows what happened that night.
Even information that may seem small or insignificant could be the piece investigators need to move this case forward. If you have any information, please come forward.
