We were honored to support the Adult Day Center of Somerset County's annual Wine Gala and spend the evening alongside so many others who are passionate about giving back to our community. Events like these are a great reminder of the impact we can make when we come together.

Here’s a lovely throwback from an afternoon spent with a client at the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse enjoying a live performance of Some Enchanted Evening 🎭✨

The visit began with a delicious lunch followed by a sweet stop at the dessert buffet before the show started.

The musical itself was a wonderful throwback experience, filled with classic, familiar songs that brought smiles throughout the outing. Our lovely client shared that she recognized many of the songs, enthusiastically clapping after each performance. It was one of those nostalgic, feel-good afternoons that feels easy, familiar, and uplifting from start to finish.

Outings like this are part of our Thoughtful Engagement program, designed to foster meaningful connection and participation in everyday life experiences, no matter where someone is in their journey.

What a beautiful day for an outing! 🌿☀️

The other day was spent exploring peaceful walking paths, scenic landscapes, and the vibrant orchid conservatory at Duke Farms. Along the way, there were opportunities for observation and engagement with natural history and wildlife, including the live eagle cam!

It was a refreshing and enriching experience centered on enjoyment of the environment, a truly uplifting day outdoors! 👒💕

Do you have ideas, concerns, or suggestions about services for older adults and individuals 18+ living with disabilities in Somerset County? Now is your chance to make an impact.

The Somerset County, NJ Office on Aging and Disability Services (OoADS), in partnership with the Aging Advisory Council, is hosting a public hearing on Wednesday, June 10th, from 10:30–11:30 a.m. at the Senior Wellness Center at Bridgewater. Community input is essential to identifying needs, improving programs, and ensuring resources reflect the priorities of those they serve.

Whether you are an older adult, caregiver, family member, professional, or advocate, your feedback can help influence planning and services provided locally.

Recently, one of our clients created a series of birthday cards for loved ones alongside one of our specialists, using a variety of fun art techniques. What began as a simple activity, ended up as a meaningful expression of creativity and connection.
