🐾☀️ It's the Dog Days of Summer, and our residents were busy baking up something paws-itively delicious!

Sheri led the fun as residents mixed up a special dog treat recipe made with whole wheat flour, peanut butter, eggs, and pumpkin. From smashing the dough to cutting out adorable dog bone shapes, everyone had a tail-wagging good time in the kitchen. 🦴

And in true taste-tester fashion, a few residents couldn't resist trying a little dough themselves. The verdict? "Pretty good!" 😂 We can't promise the treats will make it to the dogs if our residents keep sampling them first!

Nothing beats an afternoon filled with laughter, sticky fingers, and a recipe that's sure to earn two paws up. 🐶❤️

🧇😋 It may not be National Waffle Day, but that didn't stop Ms. Sherri from treating our residents to a delicious afternoon surprise!

Fresh waffles topped with a choice of warm apple or cherry topping, plus a generous dollop of whipped cream, had everyone smiling and coming back for more. 🍎🍒☁️

The aroma was so tempting that even our Director of Nursing, Cyndi, couldn't resist stopping by for a bite! 😊

Between the sweet toppings, the laughter, and the good company, it was a recipe for a wonderful day. And judging by the happy faces, we'd say this treat was definitely a hit!

Now we need to know... 🤔

🚗❤️ A special surprise for one of our favorite car enthusiasts!

Bill, our Maintenance Manager, is so much more than the person who keeps everything running smoothly. He takes the time to get to know our residents, lend a helping hand, and learn about the things that bring them joy.

When Bill found out that Don is a true "car guy," he decided to make his day extra special. Bill brought in his very own 1972 Oldsmobile 442 and gave Don the chance to check out this classic beauty up close!

The smile on Don's face said it all. Moments like these remind us that life in memory care is built on relationships. Taking the time to learn a resident's story, interests, and passions allows us to create experiences that truly brighten their day.

Thank you, Bill, for going above and beyond to create such a meaningful moment for Don. It's acts of kindness like these that make our community feel like family. 🚘✨

This week has been packed with fun, laughter, and a little friendly competition! 🪓🎯

That's right — axe throwing! Residents Don, Mitzi, and Werner put their skills to the test, aiming for the targets and having a great time doing it. Whether they hit the bullseye or not, everyone was a winner when it came to fun!

And if that wasn't enough excitement, Sheri, our amazing Activity Director, kept the energy going with a good old-fashioned parachute activity. From lifting and shaking to plenty of smiles and laughter, it was a wonderful way to keep both minds and muscles moving.

These residents sure know how to have a good time! 😊

Our Memory Care community had a wonderful morning welcoming our NISRA friends for Cookie Bingo and root beer floats! 🍪🥤

Residents, families, students, and staff enjoyed friendly bingo competition, lots of laughter, and sweet treats together. Guests had their pick of delicious cookie prizes, and everyone loved celebrating with classic root beer floats.

A special highlight was seeing Ashton and resident Kay enjoying their floats and sharing smiles throughout the event. Moments like these remind us how meaningful community connections can be.

Thank you to our NISRA friends for spending the day with us and helping create such a fun and memorable experience for everyone involved!

🔥🍫 Happy National S’mores Day! 🍫🔥

Nothing says summer quite like a gooey, chocolatey s’more! 😋

Sherri and Tracey, niece of one of our residents, had fun gathering around the s’more maker and roasting those marshmallows to golden perfection. And Penny and Angela certainly looked like they were enjoying every delicious bite! ❤️

We can’t help but wonder how many sweet memories came flooding back with that first bite. Sometimes, it’s the simplest treats that bring back the best memories — campfires, family, laughter, and summer nights. 🥰

Today our community came together to celebrate a very special milestone—Don's 84th birthday! 🥳 Residents, families, and staff gathered to sing a heartfelt "Happy Birthday" and help make his day one to remember.

The celebration was topped off with a big, delicious chocolate cookie from Crumbl Cookie, making the occasion even sweeter! 🍪🎂
