Apparently applies to our delivery drivers too. Thanks for being a good sport!

We grabbed the UPS guy 📦 when he stopped to make a delivery and told him he had to read with us.

He didn’t have 15 minutes… we got about 15 seconds. 😂

We’ll take it! 😊

We appreciate our UPS drivers — especially when they’re delivering all those medical packages that keep our little clinic running. 💙

Yesterday, after Mathias’s wrist surgery, we were reminded of something worth sharing:

💊 Over-the-counter doesn’t mean risk-free.

One of his post-op instructions is to avoid NSAIDS aka ibuprofen (Advil/Motrin) and naproxen (Aleve) while his scaphoid heals. These medications reduce inflammation—which is great in many situations—but inflammation also plays an important role in bone healing 🦴....Because of concern NSAIDS may interfere with that process, some orthopedic surgeons recommend avoiding them after a fracture or fracture repair.

It’s a good reminder that even the medications we buy off the shelf have real effects on the body.

Sometimes inflammation isn’t the enemy. Sometimes it’s part of the healing. ❤️
