We made a quick trip to Boston this weekend to watch our daughter Jobeth perform with Grooversity, the creative drumming network envisioned by Marcus Santos. Their mission—using ethnic music as a catalyst for social change—always shines through.

The day started at South Boston Fun Day, a lively event showcasing local performers.
Later, we headed to Dorchester PorchFest, where the neighborhood transformed into an open‑air music festival with performances on porches, patios, and driveways. Such a beautiful celebration of community and culture.
