Who is F.A.C.T.?

F.A.C.T. — Family Advocacy and Community Training, is a nonprofit family organization dedicated to supporting and empowering families of children and adults with disabilities.

We provide information, resources and one-on-one practical support to help families:
• Navigate special education and other support systems
• Connect with community services and resources
• Advocate for their family member’s needs
• Understand their rights and available supports
• Build the knowledge and confidence to navigate challenges
At F.A.C.T., our support comes from lived experience.

Our team members have a person with a disability in their own families, so we understand how important it is to have someone who listens, understands and helps you find a path forward.

Our mission is to mentor and empower families through advocacy and training to improve the quality of life and opportunities for children and adults with disabilities.

This year we had over 30 members attend Real Voices Real Choices conference! We had so much fun and attended some great break out sessions! The growth of our chapter is amazing ❤️

Members had a great time at Rock’N’ Roll bingo last weekend! We had almost 30 members come this year! Love seeing everyone and watching the chapter thrive!

A couple of our members have been selected by the National Disability Rights Network to be a part of a documentary about how Medicaid impacts the disability community. We are so excited to get to be a part of this! We will share the documentary once it’s completed!

Before heading to the polls, take time to learn about the candidates and ballot measures you’ll see on your ballot. Understanding what each proposed amendment would do and what a YES or NO vote means can help you make informed decisions on Election Day.

At DDRB, our goal is to provide clear, accessible, and nonpartisan voter education so members of the disability community, their families, and supporters have the information they need to participate in the voting process.
