First full week of biking to work ✅

I’m finally able to consistently get thru the entire ride without having to stop to catch my breath or rest. I still get a feeling of dread before I start and it’s by no means easy, but it’s definitely better than when I started last week.

For someone who doesn’t have a natural affinity for cardio, I look at the small victories like cutting my commute time by 5 mins and making it up a hill without my quads screaming to keep me motivated.

I’m definitely not zipping through my commute, but I’m getting to my destination and I’m starting to see that my body can do hard things.

Day 1 of biking to work COMPLETE! ✅

It was hard. Much harder than I thought it would be. I needed to take breaks. Growing up with childhood asthma, cardio has never been my jam. But with the time demands launching this practice, doing things to challenge my cardiopulmonary system has always been the easiest to put on the back burner. Now that the weather is getting warmer, I’ve run out of excuses. Doing the things that are hard is the only way to make them easier. So, here I go…🚴‍♀️
