This has been the hardest decision, but the time has come for a change. As many of you know, my family and I are moving to Maryland. While we await our official move date, I have decided to take a proactive approach and start wrapping things up at Rock & Rose’s first location in Arlington. My first year of business has been unforgettable, and it wouldn’t have been possible without my wonderful clients, the guidance from the staff at Salons by JC, and my incredibly supportive family.
What’s next for me? I have always envisioned opening a larger studio in Annapolis to host other artists, and I am confident that this dream is achievable in the future. However, for the next year, I have intentionally decided to take a step back. As a military spouse and mother, I have realized the importance of finding balance in my life. I often found myself struggling to keep up with the demands of my growing business and daily home life.
While I am excited about the potential of Rock & Rose Tattoo Studio, I recognize that launching a new shop at this time would be a selfish choice. Neither my shop nor my family would receive the best version of me. Therefore, until both of my children are in school full-time, I am committing myself to them. I will focus on nurturing my little ones and creating a welcoming home for my husband to return to after each of his deployments. This choice empowers me to ensure that when I do pursue my dreams, I will be at my best for both my family and my business.
You might be wondering how long you’ll have to wait for your next tattoo. Don’t worry! I will continue to tattoo and will keep you updated on when I do guest spots, both locally and elsewhere. Whether I’m at your local shop or a convention, I’m eager to see my amazing clients and keep perfecting my art, even if those opportunities are few and far between!
With that being said, I will be taking my last client on May 9th. Until then, please keep sending me your ideas; the shop is still open!
