TOMORROW, OH MY GOSH!

Pride in the Park is TOMORROW at noon! And we are so excited!
Gelato, crafts, art, books, music, freebies, community, and our annual Town Proclamation! 🥳🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

AND exactly 30 minutes before than that, we are continuing our tradition of a fabulous parade to kick off Pride!

This year we are meeting at the other end of Wilcox Park, by the pond, at 11:30am.
Bring your most fabulous attire, signs, flags, whatever sparks joy!

We will provide some bubbles to entertain folks of all ages before we begin to parade, as well as some flags, ribbons, etc. A candid photographer should also be present to capture the glory! We can't wait to kick off our favourite event of the year with you, and with our other favourite event of the year 🥰🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Tonight the K-12 Building Committee is meeting at the Stonington Police Department community room.

This meeting (all Building Committee meetings) is not recorded, so be there or be square! And/or write to your First Select and let them know that accessibility and transparency matters for all our meetings, including ones making multi-million dollar recommendation plans 😘

Join Stonington Pride THIS SATURDAY at The Ditty Bag Market and Cafe for an afternoon of self-care and community connection and support.

THIS IS THE LAST MEET UP UNTIL JULY! We always take June off because everyone is at various Prides... as you should be! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

So bring whatever craft you're working on, your fav fidget toy, a puzzle, game, or whatever brings your joy and peace. We're building community!

This is open to q***r folk and those who love them (that is to say, everyone is welcome).

We will be snagging coffee or tea from our gracious host, and spending time together just vibing as a community.

The Ditty Bag is wheelchair accessible, LGBTQ+ friendly, and has various seating options available. If you have any further questions, please let us at Stonington Pride know

NEXT SATURDAY, OH MY GOSH!

I can hardly contain my excitement, because it's almost Pride in the Park time! So SAVE THE DATE! Mark your calendars! Do whatever you do so you don't forget, because every year is somehow better than the last! And you know this one is gonna be no exception, because Stonington Pride and everyone else have been working SO HARD on it!

There's also going to be the now-annual Pre-Pride Park Parade, which is so fabulous I can't even contain myself!

We cannot WAIT to see you all there! 🎉🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

This is one of my favourite events, and it's SUPER important!
Join myself, the CT SILC, and so many others on October 7 to hear the viewpoints on disability rights and other disability topics from candidates for:
🗳 Governor
🗳 Lieutenant Governor
🗳 Attorney General
🗳 Secretary of the State
🗳 US House of Representatives for all 5 districts

Event is free! Food and beverages are provided. More information, including registration info will be coming in early September.

I am SO EXCITED that we are going to get to vote for Josh Elliott in the primaries in August! I am also excited that I am one of the leaders of the LGBTQ+ for Josh Elliott, and we invite you to join us!

Soon we will be dropping Josh's LGBTQ+ platform, and so much more! It's time we had a leader who cares about ALL of us, not just the "L" and the "G," and who wants lived experiences leading the way.
