it’s 9pm and your baby has been inconsolable for the last 3 hours. You’ve tried everything—wearing, feeding, a warm bath, a car ride, a sleep sack, bouncing, gas drops, belly rainbows…

and now you’re breaking down because you thought this parenting thing wouldn’t be like this….

Your google search is more like
-why won’t my baby stop crying
-what is colic?
-how to make my baby p**p
-my baby hasn’t p**ped in 4 days what do I do

And then you see this video—and you think, what if my baby was finally content? Would it help me feel more at peace? Would that help my marriage? Would I have less rage and anxiety? Would my baby finally coo and look happy? Could I go out in public without worrying they’ll scream?

If this is you mama, we get it. We know what you’re going through and here to help.

Dr Mackenzie is Pediatric and Perinatal certified with years of experience helping mamas, babies and kids get to a place of comfort and ease—to enjoy the milestones and first year. Comment BABY for more information.

That sharp pain in the FRONT of your pelvis when you…

😩 Roll over in bed
😩 Get out of the car
😩 Walk up the stairs
😩 Stand on one leg to put your pants on

…may be related to symphysis p***s dysfunction (SPD)/pelvic girdle pain.

As your body changes during pregnancy, increased demand on the pelvis can contribute to altered mechanics, tension and discomfort.

This is one reason we LOVE caring for pregnant moms. 🤍

Using gentle, pregnancy-specific chiropractic care and the Webster Technique, we assess the pelvis and surrounding structures with the goal of improving function and reducing unnecessary stress on the body.

You don’t have to simply accept being miserable for the rest of your pregnancy.

🤰 Save this for later or send it to a pregnant mama who needs it.

Want to know if prenatal chiropractic could be a good fit for you? Comment MAMA and we’ll send you more info.

after giving baby their first adjustment today, baby was so comfortable & quiet (mom says one of the first times she was awake and quiet in 4 days🤯)

babies with tension—from in utero, to birth or from body mechanics—can present as tight, colicky, tough to settle, harder to feed, constipated, fussy…the list goes on.

Dr Mackenzie sees this in babies frequently, and through a thorough assessment and gentle, specific adjustment—babes and their parents are often leaving our office with ease, feeling supported and ready to tackle another day.

If you’re a parent whose baby seems to be having a hard time settling, uncomfortable, gassy, reflux, colicky—and you’re not sure what to do, please reach out! We’re happy to chat and walk through what to expect at our office!🫶🏻

There was a version of me before becoming a mom… and there’s a version of me after.

Before, I understood birth, breastfeeding, and the nervous system through years of education and caring for hundreds of families.

After? I understood them through tears, disappointment, sleepless nights, and learning to trust my body again.

My birth didn’t go according to plan.
Breastfeeding was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
There were moments I questioned my body, my instincts, and whether I was enough.

Those experiences didn’t make me a better chiropractor because I “figured it all out.”

They made me a better listener.

Now, when a mom sits in my office grieving the birth she hoped for, struggling to feed her baby, or wondering if she’s failing, I don’t just understand clinically—I understand as another mother who’s been there.

I can’t promise every journey will look the way you imagined.

But I can promise this: you don’t have to walk through it alone.

To every mom carrying guilt, grief, or the weight of expectations that didn’t become reality—you are not broken. Your story is still beautiful, and your baby doesn’t need perfection. They just need you. 🤍

If this resonates with your story, I’d love to hear from you. Sometimes sharing our stories reminds another mom that she isn’t alone.

If there’s one thing World Breastfeeding Week reminds me of…it’s that breastfeeding didn’t come naturally for us.

As a pediatric chiropractor, people may assume I had this picture-perfect breastfeeding journey.

The truth?

I questioned myself more times than I can count.

There were tears (in the lactation office at 3 days postpartum)
There was frustration. (Why wasn’t this coming more easily?!)
There were moments I wondered if I was doing something wrong. (Why wasn’t she gaining weight?!)

Even with all of my education, I learned firsthand that breastfeeding isn’t simply about feeding a baby—it’s about two people learning a brand-new skill together.

Our journey wasn’t “fixed” by one thing.

It took patience.
It took support. I thank my IBCLC, birth team, husband and family for cheering me on every day!)
It took working with providers I trusted.
It took giving both my baby and myself grace.

That experience completely changed how I care for new families.

Because now, when a tired mom sits in my office feeling defeated, I don’t just see another patient.

I see a mom who’s trying her absolute best.

If you’re in the thick of it right now, I hope you know this:

🤍 You’re not failing.
🤍 You’re not alone.
🤍 Asking for help is one of the strongest things you can do.

This World Breastfeeding Week, I’m celebrating every feeding journey—whether it looked exactly how you imagined or nothing like you expected.

To every mom doing her best…
You’re doing an incredible job. 💛

“It’s just cracking backs.”

I hear this one all the time.

And honestly…if that’s all chiropractic was, I probably wouldn’t have dedicated my career to it.

As a pediatric and perinatal chiropractor, my visits rarely revolve around “cracking.”

Instead, my days look like:
✨ Assessing the nervous system
✨ Evaluating primitive reflexes and developmental milestones
✨ Supporting pregnant moms through changing biomechanics
✨ Helping babies who may have tension affecting feeding or movement
✨ Educating parents so they understand why their child may be struggling
✨ Collaborating with IBCLCs, OTs, PTs, midwives, pediatricians, and other providers

Yes, adjustments are an important part of what I do—but they’re a tool, not the entire picture.

My goal isn’t simply to make something “pop.”

My goal is to help the body communicate, adapt, and function as well as it can through a healthy, well-regulated nervous system.

So the next time someone says, “It’s just cracking backs,” remember…

There’s a whole lot more happening than meets the eye. 💛

Have you ever had someone say this to you? Tell me in the comments—or send this to someone who still thinks chiropractic is only about backs. 👇
