Pumpkin & Squash Harvest Day is coming to the Ellington Farmers Market this Saturday! Purchase your pumpkin at the market and the kids can join our free pumpkin decorating activity. 🎃

Currently loving my simmer pot and really loving that I can save it in a container and reuse it again and again by simply adding more water!

👩🏼‍🏫Little Lesson: Before scented candles, plug-ins, and store-bought air fresheners, people turned to something much simpler to make their homes smell wonderful: fruits, herbs, spices, and a pot of simmering water.

The tradition of naturally scenting homes dates back centuries. In Europe, fragrant herbs and flowers were used to freshen living spaces, and by the 1700s, potpourri had become a popular way to bring beautiful aromas indoors.

Today, we call the stovetop version a simmer pot, and it’s one old-fashioned tradition worth bringing back!

At My Trad Life, we love finding ways to slow down, use what nature provides, and bring a little simplicity back into our homes.

💡 TRAD LIFE TIP: Save your apple scraps and orange peels for your next simmer pot! It’s a wonderful way to make use of ingredients that might otherwise go to waste.

Blessed Creek will not be attending the Ellington Farmers Market this Sarurday. You can find my products 7 days a week at Vinnies Little Acre on route 159 in Windsor Locks, check hours for Kassandras on Route 83 in Somers and Wednesday through Sunday 12 to 6 W-F and 9-6 Saturday and Sunday at the Old C***r Mill in Glastonbury if you need something immediately. ❤️

Our farm market store is under cover and full of Local Fruits& Vegetables and don’t forget our over sixty Vendors Art & Crafts Gift Shop Here until five . Good housekeeping day inside store .
