Before I spent some time in the garden this morning I had to put on some of our BYE BYE BUGS salve so those darn mosquitoes would stay away from me!

Not only does this salve really does work, it hydrates and soothes your skin rather than leaving it sticky and dry like most mosquito repellents.

Made with chamomile infused oil, it is light and great for sensitive skin. Combine that with essential oils that mosquitoes don’t like— it’s a gentle, effective and plant-based solution 🙌

Grab yours in the farmstand or online!

Since this salve is oil based, make sure you store it in a cool place or it will become very melty! ☀️

One of my favorite ways to utilize the season herbs is to make culinary herbal wreaths!

They are a fun way to add a little freshness to your kitchen and the herbs will dry naturally, allowing you to use them while you are cooking or keep it as is for decor.

This time around I used:
Lemon Thyme: a slightly sweeter version of the thyme you may be used to. It is bright and earthy, I love using it in salad dressings, with seafood and brewing my own tea.

Oregano: you don’t need much of this potent Italian herb to get a burst of flavor in a meal! Great addition to a marinated cheese, marinara sauce and Tuscan veggie soup.

Chive Blossoms: just as the chive plant begins to sprout we have these beautiful pink blossoms that taste and smell just like chives! I love mixing them into a cheese or bean spread, making chive butter or chive finishing salt.

Sage: one of my favorite herbs, sage is so tasty on roasted veggies, in creamy risotto and pot pies.

Calabrian Chili Peppers: these little peppers are small but definitely pack a punch! This southern region of Italy is known for growing all sorts of spicy peppers. I am lucky enough to have my best friend live there so I can share these little delights with you all! Great used to make an infused oil, infused vodka or add it to anything you may want to add a slight kick to 🌶️

Have you made herbal wreaths? What’s your favorite combo?

Unboxing the gratitude box today reminds me of how potent the practice of gratitude truly is.

When we feel out of control, overwhelmed or at a loss— we can reach for gratitude. It doesn’t cost anything, it doesn’t take much energy— but it is one of the fastest ways to shift our mental state.

We often don’t see how our little farmstand affects others since it is self-service, but seeing these little notes from our customers brings me so much joy 🥹

I’m so grateful to collaborate with in so many ways throughout the years, but this new adventure is something we never saw coming or knew that we needed. Thank you for building and keeping it safe over there and to everyone who has stopped through over the past year.

We can’t wait to share more with you 💓☀️🌸
