Myth:You need an MRI to figure out the cause of outer hip pain.
Clinical Reality: Imaging can be helpful, but it doesn’t always tell the full story. Many people have “abnormal” MRI findings without feeling any pain at all.
Pain along the outside of the hip, especially when walking, exercising, climbing stairs, or lying on your side at night—is often related to irritation of the tendons around the hip (commonly called gluteal tendinopathy).
At Concierge Physical Therapy, we look beyond the scan. We evaluate how you move, what activities aggravate your symptoms, your strength, mobility, and overall function to get to the root of the problem. Because effective treatment is about more than just what shows up on imaging.
If hip pain has been limiting your daily routine, you don’t need a physician referral to get started. Our team can perform a full evaluation and help guide you toward the right treatment plan.
