📚✨ There’s Always More Under the Behavior

Today’s ELA lesson reminded us that behavior is communication.

One kiddo fought the ELA lesson—and underneath that resistance was a past upsetting moment. While writing a story about a duck, they wanted to give the duck a very bad ending. As we slowed down and engaged with the story, we discovered the connection: a real memory of being bitten by a duck at the park.

That moment changed everything.

Instead of simply seeing defiance, we were able to see the history underneath it. When we take the time to connect, listen, and get curious, the behavior starts to make sense.

And every learner is different.

Another learner needed something completely different: quiet, space, and time to trace their letters independently. No pressure. No rushing. Just the freedom to learn at their own pace.

💛 At TFT Clubhouse, we believe learning isn't one-size-fits-all.

Sometimes the lesson is ELA.
Sometimes the lesson is regulation.
Sometimes the lesson is connection.
And sometimes the most important thing we can do is slow down enough to understand.

We don't just ask, “Why won't they learn?”
We ask, “What is this learner communicating—and what do they need from us?”

Hello all! 💛 I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a little about my family business here in Taylor, Texas.

I’m Amy Griego an LMFT, mom, and the owner of TFT Clubhouse a small therapeutic learning and wellness center created with kids and families in mind.

After years of working with children and families, I wanted to create something a little different — a place where kids can learn, play, move, create, connect, and grow without feeling like they have to fit into one specific box.

🌱 Our learning program is designed for K–8 learners and combines:

✨ Social-emotional learning (SEL)
🎨 Art & creative projects
🔬 STEM & hands-on learning
🌿 Gardening & outdoor play
📚 Reading & academics
🎭 Music, movement & dramatic arts
🧘 Yoga, mindfulness & body breaks
🤝 Social connection and collaborative play

We keep our program intentionally small allowing us to really get to know each learner and create an environment where children can feel seen, supported, and successful.

We offer full-time and part-time enrollment options so families can choose what works best for their schedules and their child. We also accept insurance for qualifying therapeutic services which can help make the support your child needs more accessible.

Our Fall session began August 17th and we currently still have a few enrollment openings available! 🍎🌻

If you’ve been looking for something different from a traditional classroom — a smaller, hands-on environment that supports the whole child — I’d love to connect.

Feel free to comment below or send me a message. I’m happy to answer questions, give you more information, or connect you with our enrollment options.

I’m also always happy to meet other local moms, educators, therapists, homeschool families, and small businesses. ❤️

Let’s build community together!

Sooooooo, if the first week of public school has already left you overwhelmed… you are not alone.

Maybe you’re already seeing the same struggles you saw last year.

Maybe your child is coming home exhausted, dysregulated, anxious, frustrated, or feeling like they just don’t fit into the traditional school environment.

And maybe you’re once again wondering:

“How can I give my child the support they actually need?”

At TFT Clubhouse we believe learning should support the whole child their emotional needs, their learning style, their creativity, their relationships, and their confidence.

Our small learning environment combines social-emotional learning, individualized curriculum, hands-on projects, STEM, art, movement, play, and specialized staff who understand that kids don’t all learn or thrive in the same way.

And if your child has insurance that we can utilize for therapeutic services, your center fees may be as low as $200/month depending on your benefits and schedule.

You don’t have to wait until you’re completely burned out or your child is in crisis to explore another option.

If you’re sitting in your car after school wondering, “Is there something different for my kid?” reach out.

📩 Message TFT Clubhouse to learn more about our current openings, insurance options, and how we can support your family.

There may be a better fit for your child. And you don’t have to figure it out alone.💛

One year ago, TFT Clubhouse opened its doors with a dream; to create a place where children could feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.

Today, our hearts are full of gratitude.

We have watched incredible growth in every learner who has walked through our doors. We've celebrated big milestones, worked through hard moments, built confidence, discovered strengths, and witnessed friendships bloom. Growth isn't always easy, but it is always worth it.

None of this would have been possible without the dedication, patience, creativity, and genuine care of our amazing crew. Every activity, every project, every encouraging word, every moment spent helping a child regulate, learn, and believe in themselves has made a lasting impact.

To our families: thank you for trusting us.
To our team: thank you for pouring your hearts into this mission.
And to our incredible kiddos: you inspire us every single day. Watching you grow has been our greatest gift.

Here's to one amazing year of learning, laughter, resilience, creativity, and community... and to many more to come. 💚🌳
